Angela began studying music at the age of 5 on piano and one year later, the violin. At 7, she was enrolled in a pre-collegiate study at the local universities concentrating on private lessons, Suzuki string training, music theory, music history and eurhythmics. Growing up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, she was able to take advantage of the amazing symphonic programs including the Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra and The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. During this time, she studied under the direction of Jeff Irwin, Efrain Amaya, the late Paul Ross, and performed a youth concert with the late, great Isaac Stern. She competed in Young Artist Competitions and was a three time piano winner under the direction of Dr. Marina diPretoro.

Despite her heavy instrumental training, Angela was a singer before she began learning music. Growing up in the church, she always loved singing along to gospel songs. She started her classical voice training with Jeanne Wentworth and there found her passion. She then started working with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Academy performing in their children’s chorus along side Chita Rivera. She interned with the Pittsburgh Opera, and was a part of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh under the direction of Daniel Meyer, and the late Dr. Robert Page. At 16, she attended Carnegie Mellon’s Fine Arts Program as a voice major for two years before attending conservatory training in New York City at the Manhattan School of Music. Her favorite theatrical roles include Johanna from Sweeney Todd, Michelle from Bellevue Sketches, Rapunzel from Into the Woods, + Nellie Forbush from South Pacific.

She is thankful that music can be a part of her daily life and forever grateful to God and her family for their constant love and support.
